Ways of support
Dear readers,
I have talked to Natalie by phone tonight. I was fortunate to be able to reach her easily this time, after facing little or no phone connections to Gaza during the weekend.
We've been receiving many e-mails from people around the world asking us on how they can offer support. Here are the main ways to do it:
1) Spread the word about our blog: To your friends, contacts and media outlets. The more you help our voices reach out to the world, the more you'll make us feel that we are not alone.
2) Take part in demonstrations and protests in your country: Make yourself heard. Take a stand. Show your own government and your own people that you are against the humanitarian crisis and the ongoing massacare in Gaza.
If possible, take pictures during those demonstrations and e-mail them to us. We would be happy to include them in our blog.
3)Also, the International Solidarity movement members are planning to remain in Gaza and support the victims even after the war finally ends. To do that, they need to finance their stay. You can help them by donating small amounts of money. If you wish to donate, send us an e-mail about it to gaza.live08[at]gmail.com and we will give you the necessary information.
4) Wether it was in the near future or further, you can make your choice by voting for the right leaders in your country that take a fair and just stand towards the Palestinian cause. So next time you decide to vote, think about us!
5) organize a delegation from your community and come to Gaza to see for yourselves and then raise awareness in your respective communities (please be sure to watch Occupation 101 before coming to Gaza and have an idea about conflict, you may contact us for help regarding this, and we will connect you with the right people)
6) Join the International Movement for Opening the Rafeh Crossing- they are doing amazing work and we fully endorse their acts of civil resistance, sit-ins in front of the rafeh crossing-Egyptian side (email us to connect you with them, also check their facebook group)
Finally, we thank you all for your valuable attention and communication through this blog's comments and e-mails to us. Dear readers, this is not only a struggle for Palestine or the Palestinians. It is a struggle for humanity and the values that it stands for. We are all involved.
In Solidarity,

I am posting links for marches, letter writing campaigns, e-mails to the IDF (thanks to their flyers, photos of Gaza and solidarity marches for Gaza, a poem by Natalie Abou Shakra (with permission).
Do all you can to help Gaza! Even if you only write one letter or share Natalie's poem with a friend, you are helping the cause!
Thank you to the people that post to this blog! You are heroes and poets and you are in my prayers.
